FMA FAST SF Bump Helmet System
l The SF helmet system is the latest generation of FAST helmet with improvements based on the new series of requirements from USSOCOM. The goal was to enhance the ballistic protection without increasing the weight. Since the design of FAST helmet was already excellent, further improvements were challenging. However, FAST SF is still an almost perfect solution.
l Firstly, the helmet body is based on the MT helmet with ultra-high cut as the foundation, which has been modified slightly in terms of appearance. The core improvement lies in the evolution of materials. The new generation of FAST SF helmet is made by overlaying three materials: PE, aramid (Kevlar), and carbon fiber. As a result, it achieves astonishing NIJ IIIA ballistic performance with a weight of only 655g for size L.
l The Modular Bungee Shroud, a new generation MBS base, combines a more robust aluminum material with wear-resistant nylon, achieving a balance between lightweight and durability. The bungee cord is directly fixed from the bottom of the helmet, providing better protection for essential equipment compared to the previous version while maintaining stability.
l The new PowerPath ARC rail system on both sides of the helmet features a redesigned design, offering users a wider range of accessory options and wire management. Users can use small zip ties to secure the wiring as needed. Like other FAST helmets, the FAST SF helmet seamlessly integrates with accessories such as RAC, AMP, C3 communication headsets, forming a complete lightweight head system.
l The new generation liner suspension system has been improved with the Vented Lux Liner design, which is made of EPP (Expanded Polypropylene) material. It greatly enhances overall impact resistance and shock absorption performance, and is paired with a redesigned large-area memory foam for excellent comfort.
l The external Velcro has been completely redesigned and is completely different from the previous version. It has a larger coverage area and a more geometrically shaped design to prevent infrared detection. Drawing on the experience of many aftermarket manufacturers, it can be said that the Velcro of the SF helmet is a well-designed feature.
l The new generation FAST SF parachute training (Bump) helmet system is derived from the new generation FAST SF iteration. It uses the same accessories as SF, but differs from the previous generation Bump helmet in that the new generation MBS night vision device base is lightweight enough, so the Bump helmet of this era also uses an installed MBS night vision device base instead of an integrated base.
l This FAST SF parachute training helmet system from FMA is made using ABS injection molding process and high-quality ABS material. It has excellent impact resistance and collision performance, and has been internationally certified with CE for its outdoor performance. Due to its slim design, the weight of this helmet is less than 800g, making it very suitable for daily training and other situations.
